Sensex was trading 85.58 points up at 28162.76. Nifty was up 17.80 points at 8,710.85.
In the Nifty 50 index, Axis Bank, Hindalco, Ambuja Cement, ACC and Cipla were down between 2.09% and 2.70 per cent.
On the other hand, Idea Cellular, Tech Mahindra, Tata Power, HCL Tech and Dr Reddy’s Labs were up between 1.39 per cent and 2.41%.
