The market is reeling under pressure as the Nifty struggles to hold 8400. The 50-share index is down 124.20 points or 1.5 percent at 8401.55. .
Sun Pharma and SBI are top gainers while Asian Paints, HDFC, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp and GAIL are losers. To check excessive volatility, stock exchange BSE revised the circuit limit for share movement of as many as seven companies.
The new limits, effective today, will ensure stock prices do not go up or down beyond a level during a session.
