Stocks to watch out for Wednesday

The BSE Sensex opened higher by 116 points at 31,407, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 38 points at 9,803 mark.

Adani Ports is top Nifty gainer and trading at Rs 382.1 per share, up by 1.72% while Hindustan Unilever is top Nifty loser and trading at Rs 1,190.65 per share, down by 0.75%.

Bank Nifty is trading at 24,119 level, up by 145 points.  On the broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index is trading at 14,973 level, up by 0.32% while BSE Small-cap index is trading at 15,433 level, up by 0.29%.

Indian equity markets are likely to open higher on Wednesday. Following are the important stocks to watch out for on Wednesday:

Fortis Healthcare: Rekha Jhunjhunwala, wife of investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, bought 45 lakh shares or 0.9% stake in Fortis Healthcare through a bulk deal on Tuesday at Rs 134.65 per share.

Infosys: Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy will talk to investor and analysts in a conference call on Wednesday evening. Murthy is expected to speak on issues related to the ongoing leadership crisis at Infosys sparked by the exit of its CEO, Vishal Sikka
 
Hindustan Copper: The company is looking to invest around Rs 5,000 crore over the next four years as it makes a strategic shift to value-added products and ramps up mine capacity three-fold.

DLF: The company’s board meet is scheduled on August 25 to review the status of the proposed sale of compulsorily convertible preference shares to GIC.

Omkar Speciality Chemicals: The company received renewal certificate for its in-house R&D unit from DSIR.

Eris Lifesciences: The RBI has hiked the foreign investment limit in Eris Lifesciences to 49%.
