Global cues for D-Street on Friday

Here is a list of the top global cues that you should know before hitting D-Street on Friday:

SGX Nifty sets stage for positive opening:  Nifty50 futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange were trading 18.50 points, or 0.19%, higher at 9,976, indicating a positive opening for the domestic market.

Asian markets: Asian shares edged up on Friday. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan added 0.1 per cent, but was still down 0.2% for the week. Japan's Nikkei stock index was pressured by a stronger yen and slipped 0.5%, losing 2% for the week.

US markets on Thursday: The Dow Jones Industrial Average index declined 22.86 points, or 0.1%, to 21,784 in overnight trade. The S&P500 index lost 0.44 points, or 0.02%, to 2,465. The Nasdaq Composite index added 4.56 points, or 0.07%, to 6,397.
Rupee up: The rupee closed at 64.05 a dollar on Thursday, up 0.09% from its Wednesday’s close of 64.11.
