Central Bank of India falls 8% on widening losses in Q4

Its gross NPA was down at 19.29 percent, while net NPA was down at 7.73 percent, QoQ.





The share price of Central Bank of India touched a 52-week low of Rs 25.35, falling more than 8 percent intraday Thursday after the company's net losses increased in the quarter ended March 2019.
The company's Q4FY19 net loss was at Rs 2,477.4 crore against Rs 2,113.5 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Net interest income (NII) of the company was up 6.8% at Rs 1,602 crore against Rs 1,499.9 crore.
Its gross NPA was down at 19.29 percent, while net NPA was down at 7.73 percent, QoQ.
In the absolute term, gross NPA was down at Rs 32,356 crore, while net NPA was down at Rs 11,333.2 crore, QoQ.
At 09:49 hrs Central Bank of India was quoting at Rs 26.15, down Rs 1.50, or 5.42 percent on the BSE.
