NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of TVS Motor Company (up 2.16 per cent), Amara Raja BatteriesNSE 0.95 % (up 0.85 per cent), Tata MotorsNSE 0.78 % (up 0.78 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.74 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Bharat Forge (up 0.73 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.58 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (up 0.45 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (up 0.36 per cent) too were trading higher.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.20 points at 11,613.45 while the BSE Sensex was up 88.26 points at 38,688.60.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red
Shares of PC Jeweller, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Marico, Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel, Federal Bank, GMR Infra, Tata Motors and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
