While the BSE Sensex crossed the 40,000 level for the first time, the Nifty 50 index also reached Wahid by over 12,000. NDA's victory in the Lok Sabha elections on the market was clearly visible.
At 10.50 in the morning, the BSE Sensex was trading at 40,000.22 with a jump of 890 points or 2.28 per cent. At the same time, the Nifty 50 index was recorded by an increase of 281 points or 2.40 percent to 12,019.
Even before this, when the Modi government got the mandate for the first time in 2014 and the Bharatiya Janata Party was occupying power with the full majority, the Sensex had achieved the level of 25,000 for the first time. However, analysts believe that investors should be cautious in this pace.
On the basis of the current calculations, the Modi wave continues throughout the country and the NDA's address seems to be waving over 330 seats. The Congress, the MLC and other parties are once again facing a scuffle and the Bharatiya Janata Party is once again going to wave their glory.
Milan Vaishnav, of Gemstone Equity Research and Advisory, said, "The volatility can not be ignored in the market due to the election results, due to expiry of derivative deals in the coming weeks, this situation can increase."
Since the year of the year 10 out of 10 election results, the Sensex has given positive returns to investors. In 2014, the Sensex had seen a 30 per cent increase. This index had jumped 81% in 2009, 13% in 2004 and 64% in 1999.
