NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Monday's morning session.
Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 1.76 per cent), Oriental Bank of CommerceNSE -2.52 % (down 1.56 per cent), Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. (down 1.09 per cent) and Allahabad Bank (down 0.89 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
Punjab National BankNSE -0.99 % (down 0.74 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 0.66 per cent), Indian Bank (down 0.54 per cent) and Bank of India (down 0.48 per cent) too were trading lower.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40 points at 11,962.80 while the BSE Sensex was up 153.52 points at 39,867.72.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of NCC, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Oil Corp, PNB, GMR Infra, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland and ITC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
