Rupee against the dollar today: Rupee opened up by 23 paise | Trade Nivesh

Trade Nivesh: The rupee opened 23 paise at 70.83 against the dollar on Friday due to dollar selling by banks and exporters. The rupee closed almost flat at 71.07 against the dollar on Thursday. However, due to the ongoing concern about trade war between the US and China, the rupee has not gained much momentum.


Trade talks resumed on Thursday between US and Chinese officials. These two major economies of the world have indicated positive talks about trade war. It is believed that both countries can agree on issues like currency and copyright protection.


"Today, the exchange rate of dollar and rupee can trade in the range of 70.70 and 71.30".

Meanwhile, at 9.30 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 38,186 with a gain of 305 points or 0.81 per cent. At the same time, the Nifty 50 index was also seen trading at 11,319 with a strength of 84 points or 0.75 percent.
