Selling pressure continued in noon trade with the Sensex struggling below 26000 level. Banks, auto, infra and metals stocks hit hardest.
The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 326.80 points or 1.25 percent at 25823.44 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 115.35 points or 1.43 percent to 7958.75.
The broader markets continued to under-perform benchmarks as the BSE Midcap was down 2 percent and Smallcap index tanked 2.7 percent
