NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Eicher Motors (up 1.07 per cent), Bharat ForgeNSE 1.01 % (up 1.03 per cent) and Motherson Sumi SystemsNSE 1.30 % (up 1.00 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Bosch (up 0.83 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 0.80 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 0.56 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra (up 0.21 per cent) too were trading higher.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 54.45 points at 11,652.45 while the BSE Sensex was up 160.55 points at 38,845.27.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, SAIL, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bank of Baroda, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Cipla, BHEL, DLF, L&T Fin Holding, Indian Oil Corp, ITC and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
