NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with gains in Monday's morning session.
Shares of Syndicate BankNSE 7.00 % (up 5.60 per cent) , Canara Bank (up 5.46 per cent) , Allahabad Bank (up 5.28 per cent) and Indian BankNSE 6.47 % (up 5.16 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 5.11 per cent) , State Bank of India (up 5.11 per cent) , Bank of India (up 4.90 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (up 4.77 per cent) too were trading with gains.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 245.95 points at 11,653.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 823.27 points at 38,754.04.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Adani Power, DHFL, IDFC First Bank, PC Jeweller, ICICI Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE
