Earlier on Tuesday, the rupee had closed at a level of 69.60 against the dollar. On Wednesday, due to Mahavir Jayanti, the business was closed in the forex market. On Friday, April 19, due to Good Friday, the business will remain closed in the forex market.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services said, "The rupee is expected to be stronger than the dollar, because strong economic data has reached China's currency yuan at the highest level of nine months.
"The brokerage has said that China's economy grew by 6.4 percent in the first quarter, which has reduced hopes for economic slowdown, increased Chinese industrial production and indicating improvement in consumer demand. Yuan climbed 0.4 percent due to the highest growth in four years in production.
Talking about the same domestic markets, the stock market started on Thursday with good acceleration. The BSE Sensex was trading with a gain of 106.15 points, ie 0.27 percent. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange's Nifty opened with an increase of 25.80 points i.e. 0.22 percent. Apart from this, the crude oil prices slipped from $ 72 a barrel to the international market. It also got the benefit of the rupee.
