Shares of Vedanta at the BSE Sensex rose 1.34 per cent to Rs 189.30. Tata Motors shares increased by 0.65 per cent to Rs 201.85 The shares of HCL Techonologies, Reliance Industries and Mahindra & Mahindra climbed 2.48%, 0.53% and 0.47%, respectively.
On the other hand, shares of Asian Paints fell by 2.23 percent to Rs 1.463.10. Bharti Airtel's stock plunged by 1.23 per cent to Rs 349.55. Shares of IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank broken 0.84%, 0.73% and 0.69% respectively.
On Monday, both domestic and foreign investors sold the market. According to information from the NSE, domestic investors sold shares worth Rs 624 crore on Monday, while Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI) bought shares of 330 crore rupees.
